The Second Bloom

Terms of service

The agreement between us.

Last updated: 7 July 2026. These terms govern your use of The Second Bloom, provided by Jasmijn Bloeit, Oeverpad 247, 9613 AL Meerstad, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce 80887244 ("we", "us"). Contact: jasmijnbloeit@gmail.com.

1. What we provide

The Second Bloom is an online platform for education and peer support around menopause and the second half of life. We offer articles, exercises, community rooms and optional partner features. The Second Bloom is expressly not a medical service. We do not diagnose, do not create a treatment relationship, and do not replace a physician, therapist or other qualified professional. Always consult a professional for medical concerns.

2. Acceptance and age

By using The Second Bloom you agree to these terms. You are at least 18 years old and you provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.

3. Acceptable use

You will not use the service for unlawful purposes, fraud, spam, infringement of third-party rights or interference with the security of the service (malware, scraping, probing, circumventing technical restrictions). In community rooms we expect kindness: no hate speech, harassment, medical advice or product promotion.

4. Content and intellectual property

The service, software, text, design and brand of The Second Bloom remain the property of Jasmijn Bloeit. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service within your purchase (Solo or Together). You may not resell or share your access outside the linked partner account. For content you contribute (posts, reflections) you grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service.

5. Payment and Paddle as Merchant of Record

The Second Bloom is offered as a one-time purchase with lifetime access: you pay once and keep access for as long as we continue to offer the service (see section 7). There is no subscription and no recurring charges. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles refunds. For payment, billing and tax mechanics see the Paddle Buyer Terms.

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

As an EU consumer you have 14 days from the date of purchase to withdraw, without giving a reason. Within that window you can request a full refund through paddle.net or by emailing jasmijnbloeit@gmail.com. Because The Second Bloom is digital content that becomes accessible immediately, checkout asks for your explicit consent to start delivery right away and to waive your right of withdrawal. If you give that consent, the withdrawal right ends once delivery has started — if you do not, the full 14-day cooling-off period applies.

7. Duration, suspension and end of the service

Your access is intended for the full lifetime of the service. "Lifetime" means for as long as we continue to offer The Second Bloom in this form — no online service can guarantee an eternal existence. If we decide to end or materially change the service, we will give you at least 60 days' notice by email and the opportunity to export your data. If the service is permanently ended within 12 months of your purchase for reasons not caused by your breach, you will receive a reasonable, pro-rata refund through Paddle.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. Termination for serious or repeated breach forfeits any right to a refund.

8. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties. Our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid for your purchase. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost profits, data or goodwill. Liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, fraud, or personal injury is not excluded.

9. Safety and crisis

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU) or a crisis line. The Second Bloom is not intended for crisis situations.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you in advance. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes are submitted to the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
